Suzy Bogguss

Grammy award-winning and Platinum selling artist Suzy Bogguss is one to chase the muse wherever it may lead. She has covered Country, Swing, Jazz, Folk, Americana and Roots music with style and grace. The live performance - which includes her hits and choice material from her critically acclaimed albums - has been lauded by fans, critics and buyers as "a show not to miss!” Suzy's appeal has never wavered and her fan base continues to grow with constant touring around the globe.

During the creative explosion that was country music in the 1990s Suzy Bogguss sold 4 million records with sparkling radio hits like “Outbound Plane”, “Someday Soon”, “Letting Go”, “Drive South”, and “Hey Cinderella". But you can’t peg Suzy that easily…

In the midst of her country popularity she took time off to make a duets album with the legendary Chet Atkins. In 2003, an album of modern swing music with Ray Benson of Asleep At The Wheel. In 2007, an album of original Jazz that landed her at #4 on the Jazz charts. In 2009, her Folk roots took the spotlight in her frequent appearances on A Prairie Home Companion and her GRAMMY win for her work on Beautiful Dreamer: The Songs of Stephen Foster followed by the 2011 release of her critically acclaimed American Folk Songbook album and book project. In 2014 she released Lucky, a collection of songs written by Merle Haggard and interpreted through Suzy’s crystal vocals from the female point of view. Her latest offering, Prayin’ For Sunshine, is an Americana tour de force with all songs written by Bogguss.

Rolling Stone magazine included her performances in The Top 48 Things We Saw at SXSW two years in a row, also a Top Pick by the Austin Chronicle.  Suzy continues to tour all over the world with her renowned players, as one of three “Chicks With Hits” - a show that also features Pam Tillis and Terri Clark - as well a her more recent package with Kathy Mattea on their Together At Last tour.

So yes, you can call her a country singer if you want, but really that’s just the beginning. Suzy Bogguss truly is an artist that knows no boundaries and one who always leaves everyone wondering what she’ll do next!
